Last week I decided to to “A Day in Our Lives” photography project. We will be moving this summer so I thought that it would be fun to document our daily routine throughout the day. We would have a reminder not only of our lives here, but also of what we did daily at this point in our lives. Our boys are 5 and 2. No two days are the same, but every morning during the week, Luke has preschool while Jacob and I run errands, he plays and I clean up around the house. On this day, we dropped Luke off, I cleaned up the kitchen and did laundry. We went to Lowe’s for some plants for the front yard and then met Daddy for coffee (not something we get to do too often). After naps and dinner, Luke had a teeball game.
Here are a few (way too many?) of my favorites:
Sunrise (or a little after…)
Begging for breakfast or hoping it falls from the sky.
Getting ready for school.
All ready to go!
A few minutes of play time. Yes, he went to school drop off in his pj’s. I’d like to say that I only did that because we ran out of time because I was busy taking photographs. But…
The laundry never stops.
Breakfast, round two. Because he doesn’t eat at meals lately.
Handsome boy! (I finally got him dressed.)
Picking out plants with Mommy.
Coffee date with Daddy!
Enjoying the sunshine.
This is what happens when you set up a camera for story time and leave the remote shutter button with a 5 year old.
This is what you get when Mom comes back :-). These boys LOVE their story time. Two books each, nap time and bedtime. And they are sticklers.
Dishes, round 2.
Working outside during nap time.
Feeding the pup.
Hey batter batter!
Another handsome boy!
The end of the day.
Bedtime stories with Daddy!
